SILVIJA MILIŪNAITĖ
A contemporary Lithuanian composer creating concert music, works for opera, ballet, and drama theatre, as well as interdisciplinary projects. Described in the international press as a “rising Lithuanian star” (erpmusic.com), the composer combines subtle micromelodic movement, vivid rhythm, and emotional clarity in her music. The minimalist and neo-romantic aesthetic in Silvija’s works intertwines with her experience as a performer and with the traditions of Baroque and classical music, while electronics are often used as a means of expression that complements the acoustic sound.
